Nel giorno delle elezioni europee, mi sembra indicata la prima canzone di successo delle Psychedelic Furs, che quando venne incisa Maastricht era ancora un miraggio.
E se l'identità europea si fondasse - anche - su questo splendido romanticismo pop? Se fosse questo che ci distingue veramente dai cinesi?
(In realtà il cantante scrisse il pezzo perché era estate e la sua morosa era andata a farsi un giro in Italia da sola. Ma ne venne fuori un gioiellino assolutamente denso e decadente...ah, potenza dell'arte, che trasfigura un lavello in una pala d'altare!).
